French Fair in Palermo

Argentina’s French Gastronomic Association celebrates its 15th anniversary with a new edition of its open-air fair in Palermo’s Rosedal. Expect a wide spread of French specialties, from boulangerie and pastries to cheeses and traditional dishes, alongside gourmet products and sweet treats.
The event also features live music and family-friendly activities, set against one of the city’s most scenic parks. On Saturday at 1 p.m., chef Sébastien Fouillade will host a cooking class on bondiola blanquette, while on Sunday, at 1 p.m., Mathieu Benoit will present Le Flan pâtissier alongside special guest Bruno Gillot from L’Epi.
Fanny Rose y los Manush will perform on Saturday, and Agathe Cipres on Sunday, with shows scheduled at 2 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. each day.

Global Big Day, the world’s largest birdwatching event organized by the Cornell Lab of Ornithology, returns this weekend, inviting participants to record as many bird species as possible in a single day.
In Argentina, more than 35 national parks will take part, offering a unique chance to explore the country’s rich avifauna while enjoying its protected natural areas. No prior experience is required, making it an ideal introduction for beginners curious about birdwatching.

Literature meets parrilla and dancing at Mamut, a hybrid event in Buenos Aires’ Chinatown in Belgrano. The evening starts with live poetry readings by a lineup of local writers that includes Débora Nishimoto, Mariela Peña, Patricia Gonzalez Lopez and Josefina del Popolo, then shifts into a DJ-led party featuring Mauro Daniel, fueled by reggaeton and club hits.
In between, a parrilla serves choripanes and seasonal dishes, including locro by funghi-king restaurant Donnet — with vegan options available. Drink specials — 2×1 in wine! — will help keep things warm as temperatures drop.

Ridley Scott’s sci-fi classic, based on a short story by Philip K. Dick, gets a live orchestral treatment at the Colón. The film will be screened in full while its iconic Vangelis score is performed live by Ensamble Nexus-7 under Pete Billington’s direction.
Presented in its Final Cut version, the experience pairs cinema with concert performance in one of the city’s most prestigious and sonically amazing venues. It’s a rare chance to revisit a cult film with a new sonic dimension, bringing its futuristic atmosphere to life in real time.
